1. 耶和華神說：那人獨居不好，我要為他造一個配偶幫助他。（創世記 2：18）
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Genesis 2:18)

2.因此，人要離開父母，與妻子連合，二人成為一體。（創世記 2：24 ）
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall join to his wife: and they shall be one flesh.(Genesis 2:24)

3.得著賢妻的，是得著好處，也是蒙了耶和華的恩惠。耶和華的美意。（箴言 18：22 ）
